colonial meetingAt a Town Meeting Legually warned & held at ye house of Isaac Howland in Tiverton on tuesday the tenth Day of february A: D: 1746/7

Voted John Howland moderator for sd meeting and was sworn to ye faith full Discharge of his Duty or of his office.

Voted that Jonathan Devel is Chosen Town Sergent for ye Remaining part of this year & was Immediately sworn to ye faithfull Discharge of that office.

Voted that John Manchester is Chosen first Town Council man.
Voted that Joseph Anthony is Chosen second Town Council man.
Voted that Phillip Gray is Chosen third Town Council man.
Voted John Howland is Chosen fourth Town Council man.
Voted that Thomas Cook son of Joseph Cook is Chosen fifth Town Council man.
Voted that Samuel Durfie is Chosen ye sixeth & Last of ye Town Council man.

Voted that John Sisson is Chosen Town Treasurer for ye Remaining part of this year.
Voted that Isaac Howland is Chosen Town packer for ye Remaining part of this year.
Voted that Samuel Snell is Chosen Sealer of weights & measures for ye Remaining part of this year.
Voted that Josiah Sawyer & William Cook son of Joseph Cook are Chosen Constables for Town ye Remaining part of this year & untill others be Chosen in their Room.
Voted that William Willcock, John Brown & Thomas Anthony are Chosen assessors for ye Remaining part of this year.
Voted that John Manchester Esq., Joseph Anthony & Phillip Gray are Chosen overseers of ye poor of ye Town.
Voted that Phillip Cory, Thomas Gray, Thomas Anthony & Benjamin Durfie are Chosen Surveyors of ye highways for ye Remaining part of this year.

Voted that Peleg Sanford & William Shreve are Chosen fence vewers.
Voted Benjamin Graton & Edward Gray field Drivers.
Voted that Thomas Howland is Chosen vandoe Master.
Voted that Jonathan Davel is Chosen pound keeper.
Voted that William Willcock , Weston Hicks & Samuel Borden are Chosen Inspectors into mens Estates to sea wheather they are Quallified to vote or not according to ye Late Law of ye Colony.
Voted that John Manchester Esq. & John Howland was Chosen Deputies to attend ye General Assembly at their next sessions to beholden at providence.

Voted that Thomas Howland ye former Town Clerk shall Deliver ye Towns books to Restcome Sanford ye present Town Clerk voted that John Manchester Esq. shall provid two suitable books for ye Towns use at their Charge & Cost & Deliver them to Restcome Sanford the present Town Clerk.
