The year 2020 was the bicentennial for the Union Public Library. There was a display at Tiverton Town Hall that year featuring a timeline of highlighted events that happened from 1820 to 2020 (pre-pandemic). This includes not only events happening in Union’s history (including popular books), but those occurring in Tiverton, Rhode Island, the United States, and the world. This is now in Union Public Library at Tiverton Four Corners.
Book-like versions of the timeline are available for sale at Union Public Library on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as well as other mementos such as mugs, book bags, journals, shirts, etc.
Walking tours of the five locations where the library resided before its present location were scheduled for 2020, but were obviously canceled due to the pandemic. They have been incorporated in the Historic Tiverton Four Corners walking tours held during the summer. See the THS Programs and Events page for details.
